A very popular service for event attendees is the Internet Kiosk. This group of PC computers gives attendees free access to the internet ,as well as a central point for Event Management to communicate with attendees. Through banner-ad placement and sponsorships, the kiosk can also become another source of advertising revenue.
Attendees can have messages to their Kiosk account redirected to their BlackBerry or PDA wireless devices and get them wherever they are at the event. They may also be redirected to their personal or corporate email accounts for later retrieval in their hotel rooms. The Kiosk area(s) can also be wired for WiFi use, thus putting attendees in an area where they will be within view of advertising, announcements and e-signage.
