Information Technology (IT) Support
AQS’ initial engagement in the Event industry was to provide CIO Advisory Services, computer and server support and networking, with Internet access installation and maintenance.
We have expanded our capabilities to include configuring wireless networks to support Cyber Cafés and Internet Kiosks, Virtual Private Network (VPN) support for attendees, and event portal pages to support corporate branding or to create information flow.
Our engineers have established relationships with venue Internet providers all around the country. These relationships allow us to negotiate rates to ensure we get the most discounted pricing they offer. Due to the amount of savings we have provided in the past, many of our clients now include us in the venue negotiating phase to review venue capabilities and negotiate Internet and network rates for budgeting purposes.
AQS also has experience in reviewing requirements and developing an infrastructure for the event that reduces redundancies; further eliminating waste and reducing costs. Additionally, we maintain our own equipment supplies to supplement the venue, or in some cases bypass the venue when they are unable to offer the services required or it is more cost effective for the client.
With IPReg, our event management software, the IT team has setup and implemented an enterprise class datacenter to support the hosting of our application. With the service level agreements (SLAs) that we offer our clients, the performance and availability of our application is critical to the success. AQS has partnered with Switch and Data, an industry leader in the hosting field, to provide the physical location for our datacenter. Our datacenter is not only used to host IPReg but also hosts our web server farm, which is used to host our clients both event-based and non-event-based websites.
